As Director of Sales, Shawn Johnston leads the sales strategy, business development, and customer engagement efforts for both Nichols Brothers Boat Builders (NBBB) and Everett Ship Repair (ESR). Working across the new construction and ship repair markets, he partners with commercial operators, government agencies, and defense customers to develop tailored solutions while supporting the long-term growth of both shipyards. Shawn works closely with executive leadership and operational teams to strengthen customer relationships, identify strategic opportunities, and align sales initiatives with the expanding capabilities of NBBB and ESR.

Shawn brings more than 25 years of maritime and defense industry leadership, combining operational experience, executive management, and strategic business development. Prior to joining Shared Ice Services, he served as Vice President of Government Relations & Corporate Growth and Vice President of Ship Repair for Fincantieri Marine Systems North America, where he led enterprise growth initiatives and helped expand the company's ship repair business across commercial and U.S. government markets. Before entering the private sector, Shawn completed a distinguished U.S. Navy career that included commanding USS Coronado (LCS 4) through construction, commissioning, and deployment, as well as Littoral Combat Ship Squadron TWO. His unique background in shipbuilding, ship repair, naval operations, and acquisition programs allows him to understand customer requirements from concept through execution, making him a trusted partner for complex maritime projects.
